GenCom

Hey Brian, I was thinking about creating a portfolio of Bot A in preparation for the open house. I thought perhaps we could utilize the portfolio in a way to showcase the upcoming year. I was planning on including preliminary sketches including Top down views, a profile view, an oblique view and up close sketches on intricate parts. In addition, I intend to create a few cad models to show a progression of ideas from sketches to working drawings to cad modeling. Perhaps it would also be a good idea to include a summary page prior to the drawings to outline purpose and how our bot designs fulfill their roles. What do you think?

Preliminary Design: Bot A

The following Images are preliminary sketches of Bot A, a potential candidate for Vex 2011. The first image is an overhead view of the base and its construction. The second image is of the top and its construction. Blue lines delineate non viewable objects or surfaces, while black lines outline the general shape of Bot A. In their original form, sketches were drawn to quarter scale adjusted to 1/4 inch : 1 inch.
